How to Find the Perfect Vermont Treehouse Rental

Finding the perfect Vermont treehouse rental can seem overwhelming, but with a few tips and tricks, you’ll be able to find the perfect escape for your needs. Here are some things to consider when searching for your dream treehouse rental:

Location – Consider the location of your rental carefully. Vermont is a large state with a variety of landscapes, so think about what kind of scenery you want to be surrounded by. Do you want to be in the heart of the forest, or near a lake or river? Do you want to be close to the city, or would you prefer a more remote location? There are many great ski mountains to enjoy during the winter – look for these too.

Amenities – Think about what kind of amenities you want in your rental. Do you want a hot tub, a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, or Wi-Fi? Make sure to check the rental listing carefully to see what’s included. If you’re considering bringing a dog, check for whether that is allowed too.

Size – Consider the size of your rental. If you’re traveling with a large group, you’ll need a treehouse with plenty of space. If you’re traveling alone or with a partner, a smaller and cozier rental may be a better fit.

Architecturally the treehouse is stunning. Its design was carefully considered, and local, natural, and repurposed materials were used as much as possible in its construction.

Just below the treehouse, on the creek, there is a lovely sitting spot, hammock, and campfire place with a striking view of the treehouse. A day bed hangs below the home. Also in the area under the treehouse, you can use the small charcoal grill or the propane camp stove (which has the option of a griddle) to cook up a simple meal. You can utilize a very basic (and constrained) water system to wash your dishes.

It is often referred to as “The Nest.” If you are staying at the treehouse during the summer, feel free to open the windows at night to enjoy the fresh air and sounds of the babbling brook. Additional guests are allowed to use the air mattress and two hammocks.
