About This Location

Angel Falls is a spectacular waterfall located in Jamaica, Vermont. The waterfall has a total height of 25 feet and it can be found along an unnamed tributary to the West River. This tributary is relatively seasonal. The stream flows strongest during the spring when the snow is melting. Ultimately, the best months to typically visit the waterfall are April, May, and June.

The waterfall itself drops in a unique horsetail formation. At the base of the falls is a lovely pool that is fun for swimming in the summer. Additionally, there is a very pretty stone bridge at the base of the falls which allows visitors to see the waterfall from a great angle.

Accessing the waterfall is simple, but does require a hike. The waterfall is located in the Ball Mountain Lake Project which features a well-marked trail system. Visitors can park at the trailhead along Ball Mountain Lane and then hike 1.3 miles to the falls. Dogs are welcome on the route and throughout the entire forest. Ultimately, the hike out and back to the waterfall is 2.6 miles and features 374 feet of elevation gain.
