About This Location

Bellevue Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in Adams, Massachusetts. The waterfall has a total height of just over 6 feet and it can be found along Dry Brook. Dry Brook flows strongest during the springtime when the snow melts and after heavy rainstorms. Although it is best to witness the waterfall in the spring, Bellevue Falls is a great spot to visit year-round. Summertime is a great season to visit the falls too considering the large pool at the base of the waterfall is a great swimming hole.

The waterfall itself drops in a unique formation consisting of a single cascade. Photographers often enjoy taking long-exposure photos of the waterfall, so tripods are recommended for those who have them. It is also a very photogenic waterfall considering visitors can easily access the base of the falls and see the true scale of the water dropping.

Accessing the waterfall is super easy. The waterfall is a somewhat hidden gem located right near the Bellevue Cemetery. Although there is no official parking area for the falls and they are technically located on private property, visitors have long been welcomed to park at the cemetery and walk to the falls. Since the waterfall is only a few hundred feet from the road, this is a great family-friendly spot to explore. It should be noted that dogs are not allowed at Bellevue Falls due to the strict rules set by the Bellevue Cemetery. Be sure to be extremely respectful considering the fact that this waterfall is on private property and the owners can choose to close it to the public if it is not respected.
