Black Point

Description

Black Point trail is a 2.1-mile out-and-back trail in Narragansett, Rhode Island that is moderately frequented. You can follow the dirt trail into the woods from the parking area. The ocean and rocks are visible after a few hundred feet. The tall cliffs that overlook the ocean boast breathtaking views. Many visitors walk along the cliffs to examine the tide pools, but be cautious because they can be slick!

The Black Point Trail then follows the shoreline until it reaches Scarborough State Beach. If you get all the way to the end of the route, you’ll find the remnants of an old mansion.

The trail is easy to follow and suitable for people of all abilities. The only drawback is that the woodland area is sometimes overgrown with tall grass. Ticks should be checked for after walking, especially on dogs that are allowed when on a leash.
