Black River Falls

Description

Black River Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in Springfield, Vermont. The waterfall has a total height of 40 feet and it can be found right along the Black River. Black River flows strong year-round and this makes the waterfall a great place to visit any day of the year.

The waterfall itself drops in a unique formation. There are two separate drops that make up the Black River Falls. Each is about 20 feet tall and features a dam followed by a series of cascades. A great viewpoint for the upper falls is Comtu Cascade Park along Main Street. To see the lower falls, it is best to head to the Park Street bridge. Parking is free along the side of the road. This is a wonderful place to explore with kids and dogs too. Don’t miss out on this Vermont gem!
