Description
Branch Brook Falls is a pretty little waterfall located in Mount Holly, Vermont. The waterfall features a total drop of about 20 feet and it can be found along Branch Brook. Branch Brook is a seasonal water source that flows strongest during the spring when the snow is melting and fueling the brook. For this reason, the months of April, May, and June are recommended for visitors hoping to see the falls at peak conditions. The waterfall itself drops in a unique formation consisting of a horsetail followed by a series of cascades. The horsetail drops about 8 feet and the cascades drop about 12 feet.Â
Accessing the waterfall is relatively easy. The waterfall is located in the Okemo State Forest which features a well-marked trail system. Visitors can park at the Healdville Trailhead along Station Road and then hike about 0.6 miles to the falls. The waterfall trail is family-friendly and a great route to get some hiking in. Dogs are also allowed on the trail and through the entirety of Okemo State Forest.Â
