Carpenter’s Falls is a spectacular and relatively low-key waterfall located in Granby, Connecticut. The waterfall has a total height of 20 feet and it can be found along Beach Brook. Beach Brook flows strongest during spring when the snow melts and after heavy rainstorms. That said, the brook does flow pretty well year-round, making the waterfall a great location to visit any day of the year. The waterfall itself drops in a unique formation consisting of horsetails.

Accessing the waterfall is relatively easy. The waterfall is located in the McLean Game Refuge Wildlife Sanctuary which features a well-marked trail system. Visitors can park at the end of Broad Hill Road and then hike 0.7 miles one-way to the falls. The waterfall trail is family-friendly due to the fact that it is actually an old section of Broad Hill Road. This makes the trail very flat and easy to walk along. Dogs are allowed on the trail and through the entirety of the wildlife sanctuary.
