About This Location

Cascade Falls is a wonderful waterfall located in Weathersfield, Vermont. The waterfall has a total height of 85 feet and it can be found along Ascutney Brook. Ascutney Brook is a seasonal water source that truly only flows well for a few days each year. The brook flows best during the spring when the snow is melting. For this reason, the best months to visit the falls are April, May, and June.

Visitors can park at the end of High Meadow Road and then hike the Weathersfield Trail for about 1 mile to the falls. At the halfway point, hikers pass Little Cascade Falls which is well worth checking out. Ultimately, the route out and back is 2 miles and features 682 feet of elevation gain.
