About This Location
Cheever Falls is a stunning waterfall located in Walden, Vermont within the Steam Mill Brook Wildlife Management Area. The waterfall has a total height of 25 feet and it can be found along Steam Mill Brook. Steam Mill Brook features pretty good water flow year-round, but it can be found roaring during the springtime when the snow thaws. For this reason, visitors should seek out Cheever Falls during the months of April, May, and June to see them roaring. That said, the waterfall is a beautiful location to visit year-round.
When it comes to the formation of the waterfall, it is made up of lovely plunges. At the base of the falls, there is a good-sized pool. Some visitors have been known to swim at the falls during the summer months. The water can be a bit dark and bubbly at times. Take caution if you choose to swim here.
