Description
Circle Current is a pretty and gently sloping waterfall and swimming hole located in Bristol, Vermont. The waterfall has a total height of 20 feet with the tallest single drop being 8 feet. It is made up of lovely slides and horsetails. The gentle sloping nature of this waterfall is unlike many in the state.
Circle Current can be found along the New Haven River which features strong water flow year-round. At the base of the falls is a pretty pool which has become a popular swimming hole. The pool is deep enough to swim and often pretty clear.
Accessing the waterfall is relatively super easy thanks to it being just a few feet from the road. Visitors can park along Lincoln Road and then walk across the road to the falls. Visitors can admire the falls from the road or cross the barrier to admire the falls from its base. Be careful if you decided to get a closer look considering the terrain is steep and often slippery.
