Description
Covered Bridge Falls is a pretty little waterfall located in Thetford, Vermont. The waterfall drops about 25 feet in total and it can be found along the Ompompanoosuc River. The Ompompanoosuc River features very strong water flow year-round. This means that the waterfall typically can be seen roaring any day of the year.Â
The waterfall itself drops in a unique formation consisting of wonderful cascades. Just upstream from the falls is the historic Thetford Center Covered Bridge. Seeing the falls and the bridge together is truly a beautiful scene.Â
Visitors of the falls can park near either entrance of the covered bridge. It is best to park near the western entrance because this side of the river has a short trail leading down to the falls. Parking is free and often not too busy.Â
Ultimately, this is a great kid-friendly and dog-friendly waterfall to explore!
