Description
Delphi Falls is a lovely and very accessible 65-foot waterfall located in Cazenovia, New York. The waterfall is located within Delphi Falls Country Park which is open to the public and offers ample free parking. The waterfall can nearly be seen from the parking lot and it only takes a short walk on a paved path to reach the base of the falls. The source of the 65-foot tall cascade is the East Branch of Limestone Creek.
Delphi Falls was originally closed to the public since it was privately owned. However, in 2018, a retired Syracuse University professor living in Manlius, New York, donated $750,000 and Madison County $150,000 to buy 60 acres of land and open the falls to the public. Delphi Falls County Park was established in August 2018 and is now open to the public. In 2018 Madison County received $500,000 in funding for park renovations. In July 2020, the park was closed for a week due to frequent infractions of park rules. Today, the park is back to being open year-round to the public.
Dogs are welcome to visit Delphi Falls but they must be leashed.
