Dixville Flume, also known as Baby Flume, is a gorgeous waterfall located in Dixville Notch State Park in New Hampshire. The waterfall has a total height of nearly 20 feet and it can be found along Flume Brook. Flume Brook flows strongest during spring when the snow melts and after heavy rainstorms. The months of March, April, and May are recommended for visitors looking to see the waterfall at full force. That said, Dixville Flume is truly an excellent spot to visit year-round. The waterfall itself drops in a unique formation consisting of plunges followed by cascades.
Accessing the waterfall is super easy. The waterfall is located in Dixville Notch State Park which features well-marked trails and great parking options. Visitors of Dixville Flume can park at the Flume Brook Picnic Area and then hike a few hundred feet to the falls. The waterfall trail is family-friendly and a great way to get some hiking in. During summer days, some visitors enjoy wading in the waterfall pools.
Dogs are allowed at the falls.
