The Falls at Sheepskin Hollow Preserve is a beautiful waterfall located in East Haddam, Connecticut. Sheepskin Hollow Preserve is a wonderful park owned and maintained by the East Haddam Land Trust. The preserve is home to wonderful trails, flowing brooks, massive boulders, a small pond, wooden bridges, and lovely waterfalls. The Falls at Sheepskin Hollow Preserve is one of the highlights of the park. It is accessible via a short 0.3 mile one-way hike.
The waterfall drops a total of 35 feet and the main section of the waterfall is about 10 feet tall. It consists of a punchbowl, horsetails, cascades, and slides. Visitors can walk along the waterfall and get close-up views, but be careful of the slippery rocks. Roaring Brook flows into the waterfall and it typically flows the hardest during the springtime when the snow is melting. It is also powerful after heavy rainstorms.
