About This Location

Green River Falls is a small roadside waterfall located in Hyde Park, Vermont. The waterfall has a total height of 20 feet and it can be found along the Green River. Green River flows strongest during spring when the snow melts and after heavy rainstorms. Considering the water flow is often greatest in the spring, the months of April, May, and June are recommended for visitors. That said, Green River Falls is a fun spot to stop at year-round. The waterfall itself drops in a unique formation consisting of cascades.

Accessing the waterfall is relatively super easy. The waterfall is located on town-owned land right along Garfield Road. This is the access road to the iconic Green River Reservoir State Park. Visitors can park right along the road where a full view of the waterfall can be seen. You may bushwhack down to the river, but this is not necessary considering the view is good enough from the road. Ultimately, the falls are not too impressive, but if you find yourself in the area, they are worth looking at. Do not go out of your way to see this waterfall.
