Hartford Reservoir Number 1

Description

Hartford Reservoir Number 1 is a beautiful 27-acre body of water. The reservoir is surrounded by open space with the eastern shore boarded by Farmington Avenue and some trees along the western shore. The reservoir also has a lovely square hut with a bridge to it. There are six reservoirs in West Hartford that are the sites of The Metropolitan District of Connecticut’s water treatment facilities. The reservoirs are surrounded by 3,000 acres of some of the most lovely woodlands and trails in the Hartford region. The reservoirs are great for hikers, bikers, walkers, and photographers. Don’t miss out on checking out Hartford Reservior Number 1 and the surrounding area!

  • Parking notes: There is a large parking lot that holds about 100 cars off Farmington Ave within the MDC Reservoir Park. There is no designated parking for Hartford Reservoir Number 1, so it does take a short walk to get to it. Parking is free.
