About This Location
The Housatonic River Gorge and Cascades is a beautiful waterfall located in Kent, Connecticut. The waterfall’s tallest drop is about 10 feet and it can be found along the Housatonic River. The river flows strong year-round, so watershed levels are not usually something to worry about when visiting the gorge and cascades. The waterfall itself features a number of cascades and rapids.
Accessing the waterfall is quick and easy. The waterfall is located right off the Appalachian National Scenic Trail in the Housatonic River Project Recreation Area. There’s a trail which allows visitors to see the Housatonic River Gorge and Cascades from either side. Visitors can park along Bulls Bridge Road or at the start of Schaghticoke Road and then walk a few hundred feet to the falls. This is a wonderful waterfall to explore for families due to its amazing accessibility.
The waterfall is also just a short walk from the Bulls Bridge Cascades. Be sure to check out that waterfall as well!
