On a clear day, hikers can take in views of the Green Mountains, the Adirondacks, and vast stretches of the White Mountains, including the Pemigewasset Wilderness and the Presidential Range. These remarkable sights have earned Jennings Peak a spot on New Hampshire's 52-With-A-View list, a compilation of 52 mountains renowned for their outstanding vistas. This list was created by the Over the Hill Hikers group and is often abbreviated as 52 WAV.

One of the most popular trails leading to Jennings Peak is the Drakes Brook and Sandwich Mountain Loop Trail. This 6.1-mile trail presents hikers with an elevation gain of just over 2,000 feet and is rated as a challenging hike. On average, it takes about four hours to complete. The area is a favored destination for hiking, snowshoeing, and running, so you can expect to encounter fellow outdoor enthusiasts along the way. The best times to explore this trail are from April through September. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed, and it's essential to adhere to Leave No Trace principles while hiking to preserve the natural environment.

For parking convenience, there is a designated parking lot at the Drakes Brook Trailhead, conveniently located off NH Route 49 in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire. Parking is free, and under normal circumstances, it rarely fills up except on pleasant summer and fall weekends. This accessibility makes Jennings Peak a great choice for a day of exploration in the White Mountains. Additionally, some hikers opt for the slightly longer Jennings Peak and Sandwich Mountain Loop Trail, which allows them to summit Sandwich Mountain and Noon Peak along with Jennings Peak, creating a more comprehensive hiking experience in the Sandwich Range Wilderness.
