About This Location
Jericho Falls is a gorgeous and hidden waterfall located in Berlin, New Hampshire. The waterfall has a total height of 25 feet and can be found along Jericho Brook. Jericho Brook is fed from a dam upstream and typically flows strongest during the spring when snow is melting. Many photographers seek out the falls during the months of March, April, and May to capture the falls at full force. That said, Jericho Falls is a great spot to visit year-round.
The waterfall itself drops in a unique formation consisting of a plunge and horsetail. The upper section of the falls is a beautiful 15-foot plunge. Below the plunge is a 10-foot horsetail. There is a beautiful pool at the base of the plunge which can be nice to wade in on hot summer days.
When it comes to finding the waterfall, it is not very straightforward. Although Jericho Falls is known among many locals, there is not much information on the falls available to the general public. Luckily, we have the GPS coordinates listed below. The waterfall is located in the Jericho Mountain State Park which is popular among ATV and 4×4 enthusiasts.
To access the falls, begin by driving up Jericho Lake Road. Keep an eye on the ATV roads on the left. Take the second road and drive for a few minutes. Eventually, you will come across a small sign marking the trail to the falls. It is not very well-built, but it will get you to the falls in just a few hundred feet. Additionally, you can walk to the falls after parking at the visitor’s center.
