About This Location

Lake St. Catherine Cascade is a tall roadside waterfall located in Wells, Vermont. The waterfall drops approximately 60 feet and it can be found along an unnamed stream that flows into Lake Saint Catherine. This stream is very seasonal and typically flows the strongest during the spring when the snow melts. For this reason, the waterfall can often be seen in peak condition during the months of April, May, and June. The waterfall itself drops in a unique formation consisting of wonderful cascades, horsetails, and a plunge.

Accessing the waterfall is super easy. The waterfall is located on private property, but fortunately, it is completely visible from the road. Visitors can pull over along VT-30 to get a closer view of the waterfall. A home was built right next to the waterfall which takes away from its beauty, but it still is worth checking out. Ultimately, this is a wonderful quick waterfall to visit if you’re in the area!
