Lower Falls (Albany)

Lower Falls in Albany, New Hampshire is a lovely waterfall located right off the Kancamagus Highway. The waterfall has a total height of about 10 feet and can be found along the Swift River. One major benefit of this waterfall is that the Swift River flows very strongly all year round. It is popular among photographers year-round.

The waterfall itself drops in a unique formation consisting of several lovely cascades. There are a number of pools all around the falls. These are extremely popular swimming holes during the summer months.

Lower Falls can be seen right from the road, but for visitors hoping to get a closer look, there is a dedicated parking area. The Lower Scenic Falls Recreation Site is located right off the Kancamagus Highway in Albany. From the parking area, the falls are just a few hundred feet away. The path is family-friendly and wheelchair-friendly too. A small observation deck allows visitors to see the lovely waterfall.
