Mackerel Cove

Description

Mackerel Cove is a gorgeous inlet on Bailey’s Island in Maine. The cove is frequently dotted with fishing boats and recreational watercraft. It’s one of Maine’s most picturesque working harbors. At the north end of the cove is a slightly rocky beach, a parking lot, and a grassy area for recreational activity or picnicking. If you have a kayak or canoe, this is an excellent spot to launch it!

Be sure to check out Bailey Island Bridge Beach just over a mile away. Additionally, you can find more great Maine spots to explore by viewing the GoXplr Maine Map at goxplr.com/map/maine!
