March Cataract Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The waterfall has a total height of 30 feet and it can be found along Hopper Brook. Hopper Brook flows strongest during spring when the snow melts and after heavy rainstorms. Although it is best to explore the waterfall in the spring, March Cataract Falls is a great spot to visit year-round. It only takes a little water for visitors to witness the true beauty of the falls. The waterfall itself drops in a unique fan formation.

Accessing the waterfall is relatively easy. The waterfall is located in the Mount Greylock State Reservation which features a well-marked and maintained trail system.  To access the falls, visitors can park along Rockwell Road and then walk 0.6 miles down Sperry Road to the trailhead. Take a right when you reach the Sperry Campground and the trail begins there. Follow the March Cataract Trail for about a half-mile to see the waterfall.

Be sure to check out Deer Hill Falls which is located on the other side of Sperry Road.

Parking is available along Rockwell Road where the road intersects with Sperry Road. There are spots for about a dozen cars.
