Ossipee Lake

Description

Ossipee Lake in the northeast corner of the Lakes Region is known for being a quiet getaway for people looking to fish, boat, swim, and take photos. Ossipee Lake is a 3,257 acres lake located in Carroll County and surrounded by the towns of Effingham, Freedom, Madison, Ossipee, Sandwich, and Tamworth. Many people love vacationing at Ossipee Lake and this can be seen by the many condo, cabin, and lake house developments along the shoreline. Many of these associations have private beaches. If you are looking to stop at the lake to take some photos or swim, launch a kayak, etc. – the only public beach can be found at Constitution Park. Constitution Park is located right off highway NH-25 in Ossipee, New Hampshire. The park consists of a playground, tennis courts, athletic fields, and a boardwalk that leads to the public beach. The beach is on the eastern shores of the lake at the channel to Broad Bay. It is a white sand beach that is popular in the summer among locals and visitors!

Ossipee Lake is a bit of a hidden gem in New Hampshire due to its lack of public beaches and many natural areas. It is a wonderful place to escape the crowds of the more popular lakes. Be sure to check out this spot!
