Pearl Cascade

Description

Pearl Cascade is a beautiful waterfall located in Bethlehem, NH in Crawford Notch State Park. The waterfall has a total height of 20 feet and can be found along Crawford Brook. Crawford Brook typically flows the strongest during spring when the snow melts. Although the waterfall is great to visit during the springtime to see the most watershed, Pearl Cascade is an excellent place to visit year-round. The waterfall itself drops in a unique formation consisting of a fan and small cascades. There is a small pool at the base of the falls which is good for wading around on hot summer days. Dogs often love the pool too!

Accessing the waterfall is relatively simple. Pearl Cascade is located in the Crawford Notch State Park which features a great trail system. Sightseers can park at the Crawford Notch Depot and then hike 0.55 miles one-way to the falls. Much of the hike is on the Avalon Trail. The waterfall is just a few hundred feet upstream from Beecher Cascade.

In total, to visit both waterfalls the hike is 1.10 miles out-and-back with 204 feet of elevation gain. Dogs are permitted on the trail and through the entirety of Crawford Notch State Park.
