Sandy Neck Nature Trail

Description

Sandy Neck Nature Trail is a lovely 7.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located in Barnstable, Massachusetts. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. The trail features mostly packed sand with little elevation, but some of the soft sand can be challenging to trudge through. It is a very pretty scenic trail with views of marshes and the Cape Cod Bay. There are also great birds and plants to view along the trail. If you do not want to do the whole loop trail, you can take a number of different trails down to Sandy Neck Beach. These trails are used by over-sand vehicles too.

If you’re up for an extra-long walk, be sure to check out Sandy Neck Lighthouse at the far end of the beach!
