Session Woods Falls, also known as Negro Hill Brook Falls, is a beautiful waterfall located in Burlington, Connecticut. The waterfall has a total height of 20 feet and it can be found along Freeman Hill Brook. Freeman Hill Brook flows strongest during spring when the snow melts and after heavy rainstorms. Although it is best to explore the waterfall in the spring, Session Woods Falls is a great spot to visit year-round. The waterfall itself drops in a unique plunge formation. Depending on the watershed, there can be 1, 2 or 3 plunges on display.

Accessing the waterfall is relatively easy. The waterfall is located in the Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area which features a well-marked trail system. Visitors can park in the large paved lot for the wildlife area along Milford Street. After parking, a 1-mile one-way hike is required to reach the falls. The waterfall trail is family-friendly and a great way to get some hiking in. Dogs are also allowed on the trail and through the entirety of Session Woods.
