Shelburne Falls, also known as Salmon Falls, is a beautiful waterfall located in Shelburne, Massachusetts. The waterfall has a total height of 35 feet and it can be found along the Deerfield River. The Deerfield River flows strong year round, but it is best to visit during spring when the snow melts and after heavy rainstorms. The waterfall itself drops in a unique formation consisting of a dam with cascades below. It is usually a very powerful waterfall.
The waterfall is located right in the center of Shelburne Falls village, which is named after the falls. Visitors can admire and photograph the falls from both the north and south sides. At the southern end of the falls, there is a parking lot located along Conway Street. At the northern end of the falls, there is parking available along Deerfield Avenue. Both parking areas are free and just steps from the falls viewpoints.
