About This Location

Stetson Hollow Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in Warren, Vermont. The waterfall has a total height of 40 feet and can be found along an unnamed tributary of Stetson Brook. This tributary is extremely seasonal and sadly only flows well for a few weeks each year. It is often best to visit the waterfall during the months of April, May, and June to see the falls in peak conditions. The waterfall drops in a unique horsetail formation.

Accessing the waterfall is a little tricky considering many people do not know it exists and the trail leading to the falls is not extremely well-maintained. Visitors seeking out the falls can park at the end of Stetson Hollow Road which is just off Vermont Route 100. After parking, the hike up to the waterfall is 0.80 miles and features 240 feet of elevation gain. The trail is all along the old Town Highway 6 which is decaying and being reclaimed by nature. For example, a bridge right near the waterfall has been completely destroyed and this requires visitors to scatter through the shallow water. This is important to note for anyone with young children or dogs attempting to see the falls.

Ultimately, the walk out and back to this hidden waterfall is 1.6 miles and features 250 feet of elevation gain. Hardly anyone knows about this waterfall so you’re bound to be the only one on the trail. It’s truly a wonderful place to photograph, relax, and reconnect with nature!
