Swiftwater Falls in Bath, New Hampshire is a stunning waterfall and swimming hole. The waterfall has a total height of 12 feet and can be found along the Wild Ammonoosuc River. The Wild Ammonoosuc River flows well year-round and this makes the waterfall wonderful to visit any day of the year. That said, some seasons are more popular than others.

The historic Swiftwater Covered Bridge is above the falls and a fantastic swimming hole is below. During the summer months, locals and tourist love swimming around in the big, clear, and deep pool. Some even slide down the waterfall. Summer is by far the most popular season at the falls. If you’re hoping to avoid crowds, go in the off-season. Overall, this is one of the most picturesque waterfalls in the state.

Accessing the waterfall is super easy. The waterfall is located right off Porter Road in Bath. Visitors are welcome to park in the designated parking area located along Little Eddy Lane. From the parking area, the falls are just a few steps away. Overall, this a wonderful family-friendly place to explore, and dogs are welcome too.
