About This Location

Texas Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in Hancock, Vermont. The waterfall drops a total of 35 feet and it can be found along Texas Brook. Texas Brook flows strongest during spring when the snow melts and after heavy rainstorms. Although it is best to explore the waterfall in the spring, Texas Falls is a great spot to visit year-round.

Texas Falls is often one of the top-rated waterfalls in Vermont. The waterfall itself drops in a unique formation consisting of punchbowls, plunges, and cascades. Photographers often enjoy taking long-exposure photos of the waterfall, so tripods are recommended for those who have them.

Reaching the waterfall is super easy. The waterfall is located in the Green Mountain National Forest which features a well-marked trail system. Visitors can park along Texas Falls Road and then hike just a few hundred feet to the falls. The waterfall trail is extremely family-friendly due to how short and well-marked it is. Dogs are also allowed on the trail when leashed.
