Wantastiquet Falls

Description

Wantastiquet Falls is a tall and very seasonal waterfall located in Hinsdale, New Hampshire. The waterfall has a total drop of 35 feet and can be found along an unnamed stream. This stream is extremely seasonal. It really only flows well for a few days out of the year. Because of this, the rating of this waterfall varies a lot. When the waterfall is roaring, it is truly spectacular. But for most of the year, there is just a trickle flowing over the steep rock. For the best chance of seeing the waterfall in great conditions, it is best to visit during the spring when the snow is thawing.

Accessing the waterfall is relatively easy. The waterfall is located in the Wantastiquet Mountain Natural Area which features a well-marked trail system. Visitors can park at the end of Mountain Road and then hike just about 50 feet to the falls. The waterfall trail is family-friendly and dog-friendly too!
