Waterville Cascades is a fantastic waterfall located in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire. The main waterfall has a total height of about 20 feet and can be found along Cascade Brook. Cascade Brook flows pretty strong year-round, but the greatest water flow can be witnessed during the spring as the snow thaws. Considering the water flow is often most excellent in the spring, the months of March, April, and May are recommended for visitors hoping to see the falls thundering. That said, Waterville Cascades is a grand location to visit year-round.

There are a couple of different waterfalls along the brook, but the main 20-foot drop is Waterville Cascades. It falls in a unique formation consisting of horsetails, fans, and cascades. There is a nice pool at the base of the waterfall which has pretty good swimming. Some additional swimming holes can be found nearby too!

Accessing the waterfall is relatively easy. The waterfall is located in the White Mountain National Forest which features an extensive and well-marked trail system. Visitors can park at the trailhead along Livermore Road and then hike 1.5 miles up to the falls. Dogs are welcome on the route and at the falls. Ultimately, the journey out and back to the waterfall is 3 miles and it features 450 feet of elevation gain.
