Taftsville Country Store was founded in 1840 and for the past 180 years it has served as a gathering place for all. The country store actually recently changed hands after the proprieties made the difficult decision to close the store. The new owners are converting the country store into a new cafe which will sell fresh, local food and artisan products. The store still looks as beautiful as ever and is well worth visiting! Barnard General Store

The Bernard General Store was established in 1832 and is one of the longest-running general stores in Vermont. Bernard General Store offers a wide array of groceries, produce, beer & wine, baked goods, fresh meat & seafood, household supplies, and more. The store is uniquely situated on the shores of Silver Lake which offers great views!

Shelburne Country Store

Located in the Heart of Shelburne, Vermont is the Shelburne Country Store. The building which houses the store was built in 1830s and has been a continually running store since at least 1859. Hero’s Welcome

Hero’s Welcome is located in North Western Vermont on one of the Hero Islands in the middle of Lake Champlain. Hero’s Welcome is well over a century old as it was established in 1899. The Bridgewater Corners Country Store was first established in the mid-1840s when the original building was constructed. That first building did burn down in 1889, but the store was quickly rebuilt in the spring of 1890. It is also one of the prettiest country stores you will find.

Singleton’s General Store

Singleton’s General Store has been a Proctorsville institution since it opened in 1946. The store is full of essentials and it is an especially popular stop for visitors of Okemo Mountain. One of the most iconic features of this general store is the old-school sign which says “Whisky – Guns – Ammo” right above the front door.
