Jenne Farm

Description

Jenne Farm in Reading, Vermont is an iconic Vermont location that needs no introductions. For over 50 years photographers have been venturing to Jenne Farm in seek of the ultimate fall photo in Vermont. The picturesque farm is located on Jenne Road, just off Route 106, in Reading, Vermont. Since being founded in the late 1800s or early 1900s, the farm has been privately owned and operated. The farm has been owned by the same family since its founding.

Floyd Jenne, one of the farm’s current owners, claims that the Jenne Farm landscape photography trend started in the 1960s when a workshop group from the South Woodstock Photography School found the farm. Jenne Farm quickly gained a reputation as a superb location to capture an aesthetic depiction of New England rural life after a few photographers placed pictures of the property into some Time Magazine photo competitions. With the rise of social media, the popularity of this location has skyrocketed. The owners say that over 100 tourists can be seen admiring the property on busy days, typically in the fall. The owners welcome photographers, but please be respectful. Take photos from the road and do not trespass on the property. Again, this is a private property.
