About This Location
Mill Pond Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in Newington, Connecticut. The waterfall has a total height of 14 feet and it can be found along Mill Brook. Mill Brook flows strongest during spring when the snow melts and after heavy rainstorms. Although it is best to explore the waterfall in the spring, Mill Pond Falls is a great spot to visit year-round. The waterfall itself drops in a unique fan formation which starts out narrow and then expands.
Accessing the waterfall is relatively easy. The waterfall is located in the Mill Pond Park which features a well-marked trail system. There are several parking areas for the park, but if you are looking to get to the waterfall quickest, there is a parking area along Garfield Street. The waterfall is located just about 100 feet from this parking area, making the waterfall extremely accessible. This is a great spot for exploring with children and also dogs are welcome at the waterfall and throughout Mill Pond Park.
