Description
Whirley Baths is a beautiful waterfall located in Charlemont, Massachusetts right off the Mohawk Trail Byway. The waterfall has a total height of about 5 feet and it can be found along the Deerfield River. The Deerfield River flows strong year-round, making this a wonderful waterfall to visit during any month of the year. That said, many visitors opt to explore the Whirley Baths during the summer because swimming can be a fun activity at the falls.
The falls themselves consists of a wonderful series of cascades. They can be easily accessed due to their location just steps from the Mohawk Trail Scenic Byway. The falls can be seen from the road, but for visitors looking to get a closer look, there is a parking are just upstream on the side of the road. It only takes a short walk of a few hundred steps to access the waterfall after parking. This is a wonderful family-friendly spot and dogs are allowed too!
