About This Location
Brennan Falls is a lovely little waterfall located in Francestown, New Hampshire. The waterfall has a total height of 15 feet and it can be found along Brennan Brook. Brennan Brook is an extremely seasonal water source. It really only flows strongly during the spring months when the snow is melting. It is not recommended to visit the falls outside of the springtime because the waterfall can hardly be recognized. When flowing, the waterfall drops in a great horsetail formation.
Accessing the waterfall is relatively easy. The waterfall is located in the Diane & John R. Schott Brennan Falls Reserve which features a nice trail system. Visitors can park in the dedicated lot off Bullard Hill Road where the trailhead is. Bullard Hill Road is a Class VI road that is not maintained and is in pretty rough shape. For visitors without a proper 4×4 car, parking is available along Campbell Hill Road.
When it comes to hiking to the falls, the trail is easy to follow and quick to complete. The trail to Brennan Falls is 0.65 miles one-way. It only takes about 10 minutes to reach the falls from the parking lot. It’s family-friendly and dog-friendly too!
