Tollgate Falls

Description

Tollgate Falls is a beautiful plunge waterfall located in Winhall, Vermont. The waterfall has a total height of 10 feet and can be found along Bromley Brook. Bromley Brook features solid water flow year-round and it often peaks during the spring when the snow thaw occurs. For this reason, the months of April, May, and June are recommended for visitors hoping to see the waterfall in peak condition.

The waterfall itself drops in a unique single-plunge formation. It cuts right through a little gorge. At the base of the falls is a wonderful pool which could be great for swimming during the summer months.

Accessing the waterfall is super easy. The waterfall is located at the end of a dirt road that stems from Tollgate Road in Winhall. From the end of this dirt road, the falls are just a one-minute walk. Although the falls are easy to get to, it should be noted that they do lie on private property. As of 2022, it seems like respectful public visitors are welcome to park on the property and enjoy the waterfall. If you do witness a “No Trespassing Sign” please avoid visiting and email us to let us know to update this listing.
