Description
Twin Falls is a spectacular waterfall located in Westminster, Vermont. The waterfall has a total height of 30 feet and it can be found along Saxtons River. Saxtons River is a strong water source that features a large watershed. Due to the strong water source, Twin Falls can often be seen roaring year-round. The best months to visit are between April and November.
The waterfall itself drops in a unique formation consisting of cascades and plunges. At the base of the waterfall is a large circular pool that is rather deep. Although it may be tempting to swim here, it is strictly prohibited. Since the 1940s, nearly two dozen people have died swimming at Twin Falls. There are many great swimming holes in Vermont to opt for instead.
Accessing the waterfall is relatively super easy. The waterfall is located in the Bald Hill Reserve and it can be seen right from Forest Road in Westminster. Visitors can pull over on the side of the road just feet from the falls. There are a few small trails leading down to the base of the river. Ultimately, this is a wonderful waterfall to check out for people of all ages and abilities. Dogs are welcome at Twin Falls.
